About the Commission

A few interesting facts about the Oklahoma Corporation Commission:

• It consists of three commissioners who serve 6 year terms and are 
elected statewide.
• The responsibilities of the Commission are vast – serving as the 
regulating body for all utilities, pipelines, oil and gas, trucking, 
petroleum storage tanks, and transmission lines.
• The Commission also has some regulatory authority over telecom, wrecker 
services and railroads.
• Commissioners have both legislative and judicial responsibilities
